These are some photos from our trip to Vancouver - they're taken by Dan: up close and personal with one of the natives; totem poles in Stanley Park; Nitobe Japanese Memorial Garden on the UBC campus; and a work from the Musuem of Anthropology.

Nga mihi nui ki a koutou! Welcome to my blog. As I'm not the most reliable email correspondent, I've decided to set up shop here in my very own little piece of cyberspace to keep you all in the loop of what's going on with me. All five of you ; ) Feel free to leave PG-rated comments.
Koi - fantastic Japanese eatery that takes traditional food and gives it a modern twist. Definitely gives Logan Brown and Matterhorn a run for their money
Opening of the Human Rights Film Festival - totally recommend 'Kicking It' about the Homeless Football World Cup
UK/Japan 2009 - one sleep till Tokyo
Wellington Film Society - so far mostly fanciful French fare though there's an East German special coming up
Pet peeves
'The Boat That Rocked' - puerile only mildly laughable Britcom about pirate radios.
